The Interprofessional Simulation Center was established in 2021 with the creation of the Regional Academic Health Center campus at Indiana University-Bloomington. Located in the Health Sciences Building (HSB), the Center joined separate simulation programs in Indiana University and IU Health to form a united facility supporting the missions of each organization.
With 12,000 square feet of dedicated space, access to classrooms in the HSB, and connected to the IU Health Bloomington hospital, the Center has resources to support education and training for prelicensure health careers students and practicing professionals.
The learning spaces include seven patient simulations rooms with attached control rooms and dedicated debriefing rooms, six patient examination rooms, and a home care environment.
