SPs, or Standardized Patients, are specially trained patient actors capable of portraying patients with specific conditions that must be assessed and treated. Ideal when rich communications are needed. The Interprofessional Simulation Center in Bloomington accesses SPs affiliated with the Simulation Center at Fairbanks Hall in Indianapolis. There is a per hour charge for SP use billed back to the requesting department. Charges may vary depending on the complexity of the case.
