Isabell is a Simulation Technician working with us during her gap years before medical school. She works full-time on a 911 ambulance and is an intern for Tandem Community Birth Center & Postpartum House. Isabell is a recent graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington, earning her BA in the Individualized Major Program with her major titled "Health, Healing, & Society: Ancient Mediterranean to the Present", along with a minor in Religious Studies. Her undergraduate career included leading the Intra-Collegiate EMS at IU, working as a Peer Career Coach at the Walter Center, and participating in an archaeological field school in Bulgaria. Her undergraduate thesis explored the ways the ancient Greek healing experience informs ideas surrounding healthcare today, including her experience visiting many of these spaces during her independent research in Greece.
Isabell aspires to become an emergency medicine physician and continue her love for advocacy, education, and the humanities. A fun fact about her is that she has a pet tortoise named Pearl!
